Indiana Law has been consistently ranked among the top 40 law schools in the country (top 20 among public law schools), with nationally ranked offerings in intellectual property, tax, business and commercial law, and international and comparative law. With a 7:1 student/faculty ratio, our faculty are on the forefront of the world's most important legal issues, as well as being highly involved in the life of the law students. With over 30 student organizations and student opportunities in pro bono, public interest, advocacy, clinics, and other pursuits outside the classroom, law students are highly involved in the life of the law school, the IU campus and city of Bloomington. Given the strong national reputation of our law school, 65% of our students typically find employment outside of Indiana upon graduation each year. Indiana University is home to other world-class programs such as the Kelley School of Business, O’Neill School of Public Affairs, and the Jacobs School of Music. The tourist destination of Bloomington combines a vibrant arts, food, music and recreation scene as well as other activities and conveniences of a major metropolitan area with the affordable housing and safety of a small town.
