University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Research Intern

June - August 2018 • Aurora, CO

What I liked

I enjoyed being surrounded by health science enthusiasts and getting clinical exposure.

What I wish was different

I wish that the program was better organized as speakers tended to be late and paychecks were not always on time.

Advice

You need to be proactive. In the research world, everyone is so engrossed in their own work. A good mentor will be willing to help you out, but you need to tell them that you need help.
