Advice

The pay is 100% commission. This wasn't an option on the survey but this is something people should know. Learn to have a tough mental game. Learn how to ask people for things in a respectful matter.

What I liked

The pay was amazing compared to other college jobs. I was a little skeptical at first but I ended up earnig more than projected. I also learned valuable business skills that I am so grateful for. I have used them consistently in other facets of my life since starting the position. I have been able to start my own business and land other job opportunities. I attribute this to the things I learned with Vantage Marketing.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have taken more of my colleagues out there with me. It would have helped them greatly.

Advice

Work hard and give it your all. Study the material they give you. It will help not only on the job but for the rest of your life.

Terminix Sales Representative

What I liked

This is a commission based door-to-door sales job. I like the fact that it was commission based because I controlled how much money I would make by how hard I worked. It teaches you discipline, how to work independently, and most importantly, people skills. You learn how to talk to different types of people and how the sale cycle works. I have gained a great amount of confidence through doing it and know it will be very beneficial to me getting a job even though my major has nothing to do with sales. On top of all that I made enough money In 3 months to pay for a car, all upfront. If you work hard you won't find better money anywhere and the connections you make beyond that are priceless. I got to live in Denver Colorado for free basically and got paid to do so. Going to LA next summer, what more could I ask for?

What I wish was different

I wish we had a little better management, but that's it. The job itself is very hard but there isn't much you can change about that except your attitude towards it.

Advice

Great training they really wanted you to succeed. I a lot of money and other people made more. I Gained soft skills in sales and got a lot of instantaneous feedback.

That I had worked more. And that it hadn't been so hot

Practice your pitch until you know it cold then practice it more. Don't take rejection personally
