Student Worker
June - August 2018 • Richmond, VA
What I liked
I enjoy my boss and other people I worked with. Instead of sitting around in one place the whole shift I got to move around and go to different buildings so I was always moving. I was able to work with a lot of different departments, and do many different types of things so the work was very versatile. I got to learn how things work within different departments in the VCU Health System.
What I wish was different
I wish you would have related to my major a bit more.
Advice
Always try to be consistent
and professional. Make sure you're on time. You'll never know who you'll meet, so make sure to leave a good impression on everyone you talk to.

What I liked
The sense of community with co-workers, the friendly and supportive environment
What I wish was different
I can't think of wishing that anything had been different besides my training took slightly longer than others.
Advice
Everyone I have encountered within my department as well as other departments are very friendly and if you have a question, they are always willing to help. It is based on team-work and if a very supportive environment where people have a chance to grow and excel within their career.
