Life Science Cares Program Intern

Life Science Cares is an impact focused organization partnering with life science companies to funnel their time, talent, and treasure to nonprofits tackling poverty in the cities in which we operate.

We currently operate in Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, and the bay area. This role would be working with our Executive Director and board in the Philadelphia chapter.

This internship is an opportunity for a student to have a critical role in our chapter's growth here in Philadelphia. This job can be done remotely so you do not have to live in Philadelphia to apply and do this job well although it is a bonus if you are in the area. There will be in person events occassionally.

Students who are interested in impact, community, nonprofits, philanthropy, or the life sciences will find this to be an enriching experience. Interns will get hands-on professional experience with marketing, communications, event planning, volunteer coordination, grant management and networking with life science professionals and companies as well as nonprofits. You will help build relationships that generate impact in our community.

The day-to-day work will include researching nonprofits, providing administrative support to our Executive Director in building relationships with the nonprofits and corporate partners, planning events, and posting to social media among other work.

Ideal candidates will have experience with social media platforms and email marketing tools. Planning events is a plus. Photography experience is a plus. An interest in nonprofits or the life science industry is a must.
