In the woods all summer. Worked with an amazing crew doing impact full data collection for the forest service.
What I wish was different
Wish I was able to see how the data collected, is being used. This would give more meaning and feedback to the position.
Advice
Be ready to work in all weather conditions. Sun, rain, snow, hail experienced all of it last summer. Also if you have allergies stock up on meds it is really difficult to work through blurred vision and clogged sinuses.

What I liked
I thoroughly enjoyed being out in the forest and camping all summer. Learning about the project's importance to watershed conservation and forest health reminded me of why I am pursuing my degree!

Advice
Performing the same procedures can get a little repetitive so I recommend having a positive attitude and most importantly, having a good relationship with your work crew.
