Located in Waupaca, Wisconsin, Camp Young Judaea Midwest is one of five Young Judaea camps in the United States. CYJ Midwest is a pluralist camp, with a range from Orthodox campers, to the children of Conservative, Reconstructionist, and Reform Rabbis, to campers with less traditional Jewish backgrounds.
We offer a camp experience that grows with our campers: younger campers get to experience our wide range of land and water sports including waterskiing, tubing and sailing, arts and crafts, rock climbing, biking and overnight camping, while older campers get an increasing amount of choice to customize their experience with “tracks” such as Outdoor Adventure, Media Arts and Drama, and Advanced Water Sports.
Our campers come back year after year – in fact, almost all of our staff were campers at CYJ!
