Candlelight Ranch provides therapeutic and educational nature-based experiences to enrich the lives of at-risk youth, children with disabilities and their families.
We deliver creative, hands-on programs and nature-based activities in a beautiful Hill Country setting. Partnering with community groups, nonprofits and schools, the Ranch provides interactive learning programs and experiences that are customized to meet the specific needs of the youth and families served.
Three zip lines pass through a tree canopy and over a beautiful grotto with natural springs and hiking trails. When not grazing, the ranch’s horses, Belle and Comet, provide a great canvas for painting, as well as therapeutic and educational interaction. ‘Chillville’ is an accessible replica of our beautiful Hill Country creeks, a place where Ranchers can play in the water and enjoy a refreshing experience. Carolyn’s Canyon Crawl, a high cable crossing over the Ranch’s grotto, builds confidence – and is a thrilling experience!
All of the main facilities are wheelchair accessible, including Reese’s Tree House – a magical place nestled in 100 year-old live oaks 19 feet above the ground.
When not delivering mission-based programs, the Ranch’s facilities and programs are available for other groups or partners looking to host corporate retreats or team-building events.
