The experience of working through the research process and delivering presentable and accurate information. I also enjoyed getting to know those who i work directly with. Everyone has very unique traits and we all play off of each other very well.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been more involved in the real operations of the company, rather than working towards solving gaps in the workplace without many aware.
Advice
I would advise someone to really look to take the initiative at this internship. Many of my managers and supervisors don't come to me looking for my finished work. Instead, they expect delivered documents and completed projects in a timely manner. If you have questions its best to just ask them so that you can show your interest and work through your troubles.

I love their working environment. They are very flexible with the schedule. We can choose our own time to work.

Advice
I would encourage students to start looking for internship as soon as possible because the competition is very high. I, personally, applied to many places but this is the only place where I got a call from. It’s better for students to start looking for an internship earlier rather than waiting till the last year because you might not get it.

What I liked
I love my team. From the start, everyone has been so helpful and nice. I get looped in on important meetings and I am given meaningful tasks and assignments. I could not have asked for better support.

Nothing. I had and continue to have a very positive experience at CareFirst.

Networking is very helpful in my position. I have gotten to know a lot of different people in different parts of the organization as well as outside of the organization.

What I liked

Share your passions, take your field seriously and show a hunger for learning and growth. Be yourself! Leave yourself open minded and willing to learn more and more.
