Direct support professional

May 2017 • Moorhead, MN

What I liked

I love the environment and the clients I get to work with and build a relationship with. The job itself is very flexible with your schedule and you can get the hours in despite a very busy schedule.

What I wish was different

I wish I would pay attention more to community events going on an die more intentional about bringing my clients to different community events.

Advice

I would encourage everyone to think about gaining experience working and gaining relationships with those with disabilities. It is some of the most rewarding work and you learn so much from them!

I was given the privilege of working in a Minnesota Top 150 Workplace and it was wonderful!
