Not only did they give necessities but worked alongside a service that collected leftover food from schools that would have otherwise been thrown away, and gives it to the homeless. I loved that they contributed to the serious problem of wastefulness that many of the schools struggle with to help with the even bigger issue of homelessness in Bakersfield.”
