Citiparks Special Programs creates unique year round programming that includes city-wide and school based programs for children and families. Citiparks engages with organizations throughout the city to collaborate on programs and support important initiatives. Citiparks programs include the Citiparks Roving Art Cart bringing STEM/STEAM multi-media art projects to (20) parks each summer. Citiparks Alphabet Trail and Tales, the largest elementary age Read Aloud event in Pittsburgh and surrounding counties, supporting literacy with life size hand painted story sets and guest authors, held each year in Frick Park. Citiparks Special Programs creates Farm to Table and STEM/STEAM art and enrichment programming for summer CitiCamps and grant based after school programs. Citiparks is hiring summer and year round candidates who are flexible self-starters, able to problem solve, conduct themselves in a professional manner while interfacing with children and families and enjoy creating program materials and working with the public.
