I loved getting experience and being about to work one on one with the general manager of Beverly's at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. I want to work in this field of managing resorts and restaurants in my career. Being able to work with my manager was everything I could have asked for this summer.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have seen how the restaurant and the resort worked under normal circumstances. There are typically event planners and weddings at the restaurant/resort (which is also something I am interested in) and I would have loved to see how my manager would work with these people.
Advice
I would advise everyone to follow their dreams. I didn't know I would get a job offer at The Five Star restaurant in Coeur d' Alene, but I got an offering as a hostess. I am working from the bottom to my way up to the top. This is my dream and I am following it, I advise everyone to try and do the same.
