I had both short and longer term projects to work on, so I could always switch up what I was doing during the day. I was able to work with different people on different projects, and so got to know more than just my supervisor.
What I wish was different
I wish I hadn't needed to spend so much time catching up from the previous person's backlog.
Advice
Asking different people about what projects they're working on and seeing if you can help lets you get your hands in many more subjects than just your main focus.
