Global Supply Chain Intern

June - August 2021 • Sanford, ME

What I liked

The internship had the perfect mix of flexibility and structure. I never felt like I lacked resources or support, but my manager was also very open to my me being able to make the internship my own by allowing me to take on work and projects that I had a particular interest in.

What I wish was different

Nothing from the business / administration side. The internship was perfectly set up so that you got out what you put in.

Advice

This is a great internship for a student with previous internship experience. I say that because this internship did not have a lot of hand holding. Meaning that it would be easy to waste a summer and get nothing done if you don't push yourself. This experience was my 2nd summer internship, and I ended up being very successful because by the summer of 2021, I had mastered the art of seeking out work on my own and going above and beyond that is asked (which in the case of most internships is usually not enough work).

Logistics Intern

June - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I enjoyed the aspect of traveling to a new city for a job since it really allowed me to branch out of my comfort zone. I learned a variety of different processes while working on projects dedicated in my field. This particular job made me realize my true passion and the type of industry I would like to work for.

What I wish was different

Considering I was in a different location, I do wish I was able to meet more interns. Everyone was primarily scattered so the only way of communciations was google hangouts.

Advice

If there is any advice I can give, it would be to take risks. This internship really allowed me to understand the importance of taking an experience regardless of you are scared. Additionally, always listen to your peers as they are only there to make you a better candidate in the future.

Customer Development Intern

June - August 2019 • Minneapolis, MN

What I liked

I loved the company. Really flexible and friendly coworkers, teams, and managers coupled with a fast paced and intense environment as a Fortune 500 company. Everyone was open to questions and willing to help. Great company culture and cool innovation going on.

What I wish was different

Advice

Be open to any experiences! You never know what you might end up loving. I loved this position because it wasn't a typical sales role but rather allowed me to delve into one specific client/account, in my case it being Target.
