Interning with the Community Food Initiative over the summer was a great experience because I got to advance my skills in marketing while being able to see multiple sides of the role, make an impact on the surrounding community, and be able to enjoy a summer in Athens. Working for this small non-profit, I got to feel like an important asset and was able to be creative.
What I wish was different
The experience was all around wonderful! This position is a great first-time internship because it is low risk and not very demanding. Next summer, I want to look for a more demanding and structure internship.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about the experience is that the internship is what you make of it. What you put in is what you will get out of it.
