Human Resources Manager

May - August 2018 • Boston, MA

What I liked

I loved meeting new people and gaining valuable knowledge in a field that I'm passionate about.

What I wish was different

I wish it wasn't remote; while I enjoyed working from home, I feel my experience would have been more beneficial if I were able to engage in face-to-face interactions with my interns.

Advice

Organization is key; if you're stuck on something or don't understand something, it's much easier to just ASK!

Business Development and Marketing Intern

June - August 2018 • Boston, MA

What I liked

My manager created an intern discussion board where all of the summer interns would take a turn posting a discussion topic and responding to each other. I liked this aspect because it was a remote internship but we still got the opportunity to interact with other interns and learning from them.

What I wish was different

I wish there was more variety to the work. It was the same process for all tasks and although it was good experience I wish I could have learned different things.

Advice

It was remote work so I would share that with remote work you should each week plan out where you will fit in your hours. Its easy to push work off when you're the only one holding yourself accountable so it is important to plan ahead.

Summer Marketing Intern

May - August 2018 • Tucson, AZ

What I liked

I liked the kind of work I did, because it was something that I had a real inclination and drive towards, and I also liked what we were ultimately building towards as a company.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more cooperation with other interns. Aside from the project I did with one other intern, it almost felt like I was the only intern there was.

Advice

Do not expect to make any money from this internship. It's a good thing to put on your resume, but if you need money, this isn't the internship for you.
