What I liked

I really enjoyed being able to focus entirely on not just research, but what it means to be a researcher. It taught me the kind of discipline and patience you need with scientific research.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to spend more time in the lab, to be able to conduct more trials.

I would definitely say to keep an open mind and allow yourself to grow as a researcher. I came in with the mindset that I was going to be ready to publish by the end of the summer, but good science takes more time than that. It was a huge learning curve for me, so to prepare for that curve please keep an open mind!
