Contemporary Productions

Graphic Design Intern

March - December 2022 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

The work environment at Contemporary Productions was very welcoming and caters to interns. I loved that I was able to work with my supervisor one on one every day because It built a mentor relationship and opened ways to learn and grow more by having direct access to ask questions and receive feedback.

What I wish was different

The projects that were given varied from one client to the next. This lead to a variety of projects that ranged from signages, logos to posters. This is due to my personal interests within the field, however, I wished I would have received more logo opportunities. Other than that, the projects were also varied each time.

One piece of advice I would share is to be prepared for the work flow in the entertainment field. There are days where the work load is very little and it goes slow. However, then there will be times where new projects with tight deadlines will approach suddenly and you have to put in more time and energy to meet the deadlines. Bring prepared to adjust to the work flow is optimal for success at this internship.
