Copia Automation

Marketing Intern

June - August 2022 • New York City, NY

What I liked

My manager was super helpful and patient in terms of guiding. I was able to learn how to use different marketing tools (GA4, Figma, Hubspot) and was able to apply skills and knowledge learned in class in a real business setting. I analyzed a lot of data, worked on data visualization, organized data, and did research. I got the chance to present my work twice to the marketing team:) I also had the opportunity to participate in meetings with the VP of Marketing and weekly postfix meetings with the entire company, including the CEO. It was eye-opening to learn about what different departments do for the same company.

What I wish was different

I am a huge fan of design, so I wish I could have done more design-oriented tasks (design marketing materials or ads) for the internship. My manager was considerate enough to add design tasks to my list towards the end of the internship after learning about my desire :)

Advice

Copia's product and service are focused on PLC and version control, so I recommend doing some more research on related subjects besides digging into their product features. My internship was online, but people still occasionally host virtual coffee-chats and game sessions to connect with each other.
