What I liked
Being able to work in a community nutrition setting; flexibility; making my own schedule; networking with a vast population; being able to travel all over the Finger Lakes region to different markets
What I wish was different
Prior knowledge on who to connect with in order to go to markets; obtaining food permits before the season started to be able to do more food sampling in more counties
Great opportunity to get Community Nutrition experience under your belt (if a Nutrition major). If interested in this job, be aware of the amount of travel and time out of your day it takes. Sometimes you will have to work 9-11 hour days!
