I was able to observe the clients and physically work with them. Their mental illnesses helped me explore many of the terms I learned throughout the years at CSUB.
What I wish was different
For my internship to be longer.
Advice
I definitely understand more by observing and communicating with anyone that has a mental illness. Therefore, my advice is to be more involved with mental illness people, so we can learn more and be able to help them at the same time.

Working in mental health is very challenging but very rewarding! Always look out for your own signs of emotional burn out and take care of yourself!
