My favorite thing about working at cub creek was the children and my co-workers. I made fantastic friends and enjoyed learning about the different animals they have.

What I liked
I love the place where I stayed and worked for,
There are many different species of animals, and I could go anywhere during my free time!
What I wish was different
I wished to spend more time with animals in a day.
I usually get a chance to work with them about 3 hours in a day among 16 hours long work time. (Woke up at 6am and sleep after 10 pm)
Advice
Communication is really key point to work happy and find joy to make your day! Feel free to talk with your co-worker and boss. They are friendly and nice people.

What I liked
I loved the people I met during my job as well as gaining experiences that are hard to come by in a typical summer job
What I wish was different
The working situations and hours of work were very stressful at times but in consideration it was summer camp where the kids stayed all week.
Advice
If you have the option to work as a summer camp counselor, no matter where at, take it. It was one of the best summers of my life and made me realize how important summer camps are for people at all ages.

What I liked
Working with all of the different species of animals and being the caving instructor
What I wish was different
More time off, we only got less than 2 days off a week. They weren't even full 24 hour periods.
Advice
It is a very tough job, but it can be very rewarding knowing you made a difference in a child's summer!
