What I liked

Cypress Environmental has provided an atmosphere to learn and grow. I have not only sharpened my audit and accounting skills, but also gained knowledge in other areas such as accounts payable, billing and more.

What I wish was different

I’ve enjoyed almost every aspect of this internship and wouldn’t change a thing.

Advice

Always embrace opportunities and never limit yourself because of your lack of knowledge or experience. We only grow and get better by taking on tasks and working hard to succeed!

What I liked

I enjoyed the people that I worked with in the office and the position challenged me to use the knowledge I had gained in my classes. I also gained new skills in excel and in word that I would not have learned in the classroom.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more feedback and structure on the internship side. I would like to have had benchmarks or specific written goals that I could work towards.

Advice

I was not afraid to ask question in my internship and I benefited greatly from the knowledge and experience of my boss and others in the office. I would also advise others to say yes to positions that may be outside of their comfort zone. I did not know everything going into my internship, I still do not know everything, but I am learning more and growing my skills every day.
