I really like gaining experience outside of my major. It was interesting learning from current employees and shadowing different departments within the agency.
What I wish was different
I wish I would of been able to start earlier in the summer. I felt that when I finally had a grasp on my job duties the internship was over for the summer.
Advice
Help wherever you are needed and talk to people as much as you can. I got to meet many different people and learn the pros and cons of all their job duties. Getting input from my coworkers really helped narrow down what I want to do in the future.

Look at USAjobs regularly if you want a government internship a koi nd apply early. The process is long so it must be started on time
