I conducted Honors in the Major (HIM) thesis research over the summer on an Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) $1000 individual travel grant. I went to Atlanta, Savannah, New Orleans and Nashville.
What I wish was different
Nothing. I had a great experience.
Advice
If you are going to conduct HIM research, be sure to have a general direction. Your argument will shape over time, but you want to have a basic view of what you are going to do. Make sure you and your thesis advisor fit well together.
