Dominos Pizza

Pizza Delivery Driver

June - August 2019 • Denver, CO

What I liked

Flexible schedule and getting cash for tips at the end of every shift.

What I wish was different

Drivers have to clean dishes and do other jobs around the store that insiders should be doing before being clocked out. This made me work at least an hour past what I was supposed to work for every shift.

Advice

Make sure to let your manager know when you want to work, otherwise you might get undesirable hours.

Pizza Delivery Driver

June - July 2019 • Hillsborough, NC

What I liked

I liked the staff and getting to see parts and people of my home town that I never would have seen otherwise.

What I wish was different

I wish I got paid more for my time, but I also got tips.

Advice

This is a great job if you are willing to put a lot of miles on your car. Tips are usually hit or miss and it is not enough to guarantee big profits but it usually works out in the long run

What I liked

The freedom of being in my own car with my own music.

What I wish was different

A few co workers sometimes wouldn't do a lot, but there were only a few to do this.

Advice

Get things done in the store whenever you can, so closing doesn't until 3 in the morning.

Delivery Driver

June - August 2019 • Athens, GA

What I liked

The speed at which I was able to begin working. Pretty friendly crew and enjoyed most of their company.

What I wish was different

The workload distribution. People started to quit midway through my time working there either due to too many hours or too little hours; I would get overtime almost every week towards the end of my time working there.

Advice

Come in with an attitude that the work load here is intense and you'll do great, and if you bring a great attitude it'll more than likely help you get a raise within a short period of time.

Pizza Delivery Driver

July 2019 • Eugene, OR

What I liked

Domino's is a high stress/low stress environment. There really is no in between state. As a college student, I work 20 hours a week and get payed an average of $20 an hour (factoring in tips.) It's because of this job that I was able to get off campus and live a much more affordable lifestyle without sacrificing my grades or extracurricular activities on campus.

What I wish was different

I wish I had clarified how many days per week I wanted to work. They are in no shortage of shifts, and without asking for what days you need off, you'll easily work close to full-time.

Advice

If you are willing to pick up your pride, this job is actually a really nice escape from campus. I'd recommend getting your favorite spotify playlist, getting some snacks to keep in the car, and have fun with it. The actual labor you do doesn't require all that much brainpower, so staying busy and entertained is important.

I wish I got more deliveries per hour, and the hours were a bit better.
