I had great co-workers and the schedule was very flexible. My manager was great at giving me the hours I wanted.
What I wish was different
When I went to apply for promotions, it was hard to get a better position. It would have been nice if there were not so many politics associated with advancement.
Advice
The most important qualities are constancy and hard work. When people see you are giving your all, all the time, they are more willing to work with what you want.

I wish there was more reimbursement for vehicle maintenance

It is a very good summer job in my opinion if your trying to save some money real quick. Just make sure to a good enough car if you are required to use your personal car.

The tips received on deliveries was very good.
What I wish was different
I often worked 4pm to 3am and was never given an exact clock out time. Employees were kept until management saw fit to release them.
Advice
If you are someone that dislikes a disorganized work environment, I would not recommend this job. If that aspect doesn't bother you then I would advise keeping a polite demeanor with your customers. It really helps when dealing with dissatisfaction.

It was a toxic work environment, the new manager was needlessly rude and it started to spread to the rest of the employees.
Advice
Only take this as a part-time job, it will just completely drain you if you work here full-time.

What I liked
I enjoyed the methodicalness of the job, being involved with customers and learning to think on my feet. It taught me grace under pressure and better flexibility. I also valued the management and the way the location was managed.
What I wish was different
I wish that the outer management had been more involved perhaps, and that there had been more allocation of personnel resources to our location, as there was often rush and we would be understaffed.
Advice
Don't take anything personally, customers can be abrasive. Also, it is a fantastic job if you enjoy repetition and deviation in equal amounts.

Flexible Hours, Reasonable Pay, Cash Paid After Every Shift, Close Location, Good Solid Fair Management, Get Paid to Drive. Base Pay in Store if not many deliveries.

Understaffed at times which puts extra stress on those working, but that's no one's fault necessarily.

Keep a positive mindset, do your best and be positive to other staff and customers. Important to have customer service and people skills and be able to work under stress.aaaaaa
