Really talk to the interviewer about what you are looking for in terms of a job, or an internship, and in what areas you would be willing to work. I originally interviewed during a career fair and was told that there were no internship openings, but the discussion still went really well with the interviewer. A few days later she emailed me and let me know that an internship position had opened up! It helps to share your honest thoughts and feedback about what you want.
