What I liked
I enjoyed the team that I was placed with, as well as the challenging yet completable tasks/projects that were assigned to me.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been more vocal about questions that I had in the moment.
Advice
Make sure to step outside your comfort zone and do things that you normally wouldn't to gain new skills, but don't overwhelm yourself. There are people on your team that are there to help you.

What I liked
I liked the variety of projects I was placed on. I was able to experience almost all the sides of the manufacturing process from concept design to production handoff. I was also involved heavily with tooling for an assembly line, which I really enjoyed and learned a lot from.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more projects during the slow times.
Advice
I would recommend taking advantage of networking opportunities as much as possible. I was able to form relationships with multiple different professionals that I would gladly ask for references from. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and try to meet new people.

What I liked
I enjoyed getting a real world look into working life after school. The experiences I had while on the job were extremely valuable towards my future developments as an engineer.
What I wish was different
The most difficult thing about this position was adapting to the location. It took some time to adjust, but luckily they employ many interns at the same time so there are opportunities to meet people from different schools and mingle outside of work.

What I liked
Bobcat Gwinner was a great first engineering experience. It allowed me to be exposed to a variety of engineering scenarios. The atmosphere was very friendly and laid back. Everyone is willing to help if you are willing to ask.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've started off with more projects. Because of the team I was on, work didn't pick up too much until summer.
Advice
ASK QUESTIONS! A massive factory like Bobcat in Gwinner, ND contains a plethora of learning experiences. My advice would be to act as a sponge and soak up as much knowledge/experience as you can get. Also, make friends. Whether it be other Interns of Full-timers, they will prove to be helpful connections in the future.
