I had a great team who made work fun.

I look back now and don't really know what I actually did this summer besides work, so I wish I had gone out and done some fun, memorable things.

Advice

Don't let the negative customer feedback get to you. Do your job well and don't look to outside sources for that validation.

I wish I would have made some goals before hand about the specific areas of HR I wanted to learn about so that I could have been more prepared to get specific experiences.

What I liked

The people at doTERRA were awesome. I really enjoyed my team and the interactions between other departments. I always felt like there was someone wiling to help when I needed it, and never felt micro-managed.

What I wish was different

For me, the work became a little boring. I was able to get hands-on experience doing lots of different things, and entrusted with projects of my own, but the cubicle scene just wasn't for me.

The culture of work hard, play hard that exists at doTERRA. They treat they're employees super well and that made the experience even better.

What I wish was different

I wish I would've had the opportunity to be more in charge of a project so that I had something more concrete to present at the end of my summer internship.

Advice

Make sure you pay attention to the things you learn about that aren't directly related to what you're studying. I learned a ton about working with other people and how to manage differing opinions. This is something that will always be useful to me in my career but isn't what I'm going to school to learn.

I loved the culture that my team has, and I love all the new changes and projects that we had in the internship. I also loved the company and the different incentives that they have for all employees

What I wish was different

I would love to keep having project management experiences, all though there definitely was some I want to keep diving more into the process of developing markets.

Advice

Listen to what your manager, Team Lead and Supervisor have to say to you because, that is where you will learn the most as well as talk to your fellow co-workers, It is always nice to know that there are people willing to help you out. Don't be afraid of asking questions, it is better to understand the concept clearly than to not really understand it.

I like how well they treat their employees and how they really value the customer service representatives. They know how important we are to the face of the company.

What I wish was different

I wish that there were more opportunities to go out for certain positions and raises. There aren't as many as I would have liked.

Advice

I'd say that if you are looking for a stable place with a consistent and flexible schedule, doTERRA is perfect for you. The company values its employees. I would get this job at least for a time while you are in school.

I work in a specific international market that is very busy and stressful at times. I wish sometimes for a more relaxed job.

If you are looking for a job and have proficiency in a second language, I highly recommend working at doTerra.

What I liked

doTERRA is an amazing place to work. It's a great company with great goals that treats its employees really well. I loved having very real opportunities to use my technical skills and drive significant savings to the bottom line.

What I wish was different

doTERRA is still working on formalizing its internship program, so things were a little slow sometimes. My experience was great, but I did speak with some other interns who would have liked more structure with what they were assigned to do.
