It was a lot of busywork, which seemed like nobody ever ended up using, so it seemed like a waste of my time

What I liked
I loved being able to experience a campaign from the start - this was a new experience for me. Because I started when we were smaller, I was able to interact with the candidate and others to really understand her and the message that we were asked to convey.
What I wish was different
I had done the internship virtually, as I live 5 hours away from HQ and it was the best option for me at the time. However, I wish I had been able to work inside the campaign HQ and get that experience.
Advice
Ask questions whenever you're confused or need advice. Politics and campaigns have special lingo and procedures that can be confusing to new people.
