Everyone involved in Dress for Success is so nice and really want you to do well and learn a lot. There is also a lot of opportunity for creativity and for you to work on things you enjoy, even though there are certain typical intern tasks that you have to do.
What I wish was different
I wish I had started working for them sooner because then I would have been involved in more of the decision making instead of just implementation.
Advice
Make connections, be social and network! It is hard but worth it. Also be very good at making phone calls, especially cold calls.
