Event Staff App, LLC

Sales Associate

May 2023 • Goleta, CA

What I liked

Flexible hours, Ease of communication, open to feedback

What I wish was different

I would appreciate having more structured guidance and readily available documentation to support my skill development. Currently, much of my learning process involves trial and error, and I believe a more formalized approach would be beneficial.

Advice

Remember, the more effort you put in, the more you'll benefit. I'd suggest creating a schedule for yourself and trying your best to stick with it. It's easy to fall into a pattern of not getting much done, so it's important to stay on top of things.

Sales Intern

January - April 2023 • Goleta, CA

What I liked

Loved the experience of being able to manage my workload around my busy work and school schedule. Christophe was an amazing mentor who facilitated a good team environment. Without this internship I don’t think I would be as successful in my current post-grad Sales role.

Advice

One advice I would give is definitely do outside research to give yourself more tools to succeed especially if business/sales is your cup of tea.

Sales Intern

October 2022 - April 2023 • Goleta, CA

What I liked

This internship is amazing if you are looking for something to do part time whilst in school. The hours are super manageable, the work is rewarding, and Christophe is a great boss. If you are looking to get some professional experience this is a great place to start.

What I wish was different

I really don't think there is anything I would've changed about the experience. I got more out of it then I could have expected from the start.

Advice

You will get as much out of this internship as you are willing to put in. Make sure you are self-motivated and ready to tackle things without necessarily being told to.

Sales Intern

December 2021 - July 2022 • Santa Barbara, CA

What I liked

The internship was perfect for me as most of the work was done remotely and on my own time. It helped me develop many new skills as I reached out to leads and conducted sales calls on Zoom. Event Staff App is pretty easy to get the hang of and user-friendly, so learning the interface and being able to explain its functions didn't take too long. The schedule is very flexible and Christophe is always available to answer any questions and provide resources.

What I wish was different

Nothing.

June 2020 • Santa Barbara, CA

What I liked

Event Staff App provided me with the perfect balance of freedom and guidance. I was allowed to choose whatever project I wanted to work on, but Christophe was always on Slack to answer any questions I might have! Also, he always takes the time to send tutorials and tips about anything that may be tricky before I even ask which is so so helpful.

What I wish was different

Nothing!

Advice

You need to be self-motivated and creative if you want to learn from this experience.

Marketing and Sales Intern

April 2020 • Santa Barbara, CA

What I liked

I love the flexibility of the internship, it made it really easy for me to navigate my coursework as well as expanding my own hard skills. I learned a lot about the marketing world through this internship which I other wise would not have learned in class. Being able to learn how CRM's work and email marketing campaigns really changed the way that I viewed them from a consumer's point of view.

What I wish was different

There are very few things I would change and almost all of them were out of the control of the company. What I mean is that I started my campaign during a pandemic which caused a whole influx of problems which were completely out of our hands. That is the only thing I wish was different.

Advice

The advice I would want to have had starting out, is to learn as much as possible and take every opportunity to apply it.
