What I liked

Since it is a small and growing business, I felt like my opinion was valued and I had the opportunity to help in some decision making. I was also given a lot of creative freedom when helping to plan out multiple social media feeds, creating graphics, taking photos, etc.

What I wish was different

Since this was my first job in social media marketing, I wished there would have been a little more structure and direction. I had to figure out a lot of things on my own.

Advice

Keep an open mind when looking for jobs or internships. It doesn't have to be your end all, be all job to be valuable. I was not very interested in skincare or cosmetic dermatology before this job, but now I have learned about an industry I otherwise didn't know much about, and it ultimately helped me grow my resume and portfolio.
