FSHD is a non-profit housing and social services provider that seeks to reduce the racial and economic segregation of the State of New Jersey through development of affordable housing in high-opportunity communities, pursuant to the Mount Laurel doctrine which requires that every town in New Jersey provide its fair share of affordable housing. FSHD has developed or now has in its development pipeline over 1100 units of affordable housing in many of South Jersey’s most desirable suburbs and in urban centers. FSHD emphasizes provision of social services in order to connect residents of its developments with educational and economic opportunity.
