About FamilyForward

Who are we?
FamilyForward moves vulnerable children in the direction of hope by delivering comprehensive therapeutic and educational services to support biological, foster, and adoptive families.

What do we do?
We offer trauma assessment and psychological evaluation; individual, family, and group trauma-focused counseling; coaching and education for parents, caregivers, and professionals; foster care case management; recruitment, training, and licensing for foster and adoptive families; and we operate a therapeutic Early Childhood Center for children ages three to five who have experienced early adversity.

Why work with us?
Here at FamilyForward, we are passionate about supporting our workplace community. We work hard to foster a collaborative, team-centered environment that prioritizes gratitude, wellbeing, and self-care. We understand the hard work that goes into serving our clients, and in order to support the people doing the work, we have committed to upholding Organizational Health Anchors we have set for our agency. These anchors include: safety (psychological safety as well as physical); mindfulness and self-regulation; relational health; cultural diversity, inclusivity, equity, and anti-racism; clinical lens; vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.

If these anchors resonate with you, and you are passionate about supporting children and families who have experienced adversity and committed to a strengths-based, trauma-focused approach -- you would be a great fit for us!

Reviews

CEO Fellow

September 2021 - May 2022 Creve Coeur, MO
“I loved working here as a CEO Fellow for my second-year practicum placement. Everyone was so excited to get to know me and support me, and I felt that everyone was genuinely invested in my professional growth, as well as who I am as a person. I consistently felt valued and encouraged. I learned so much from this role, being given the opportunity to witness the operations of an agency -- board meetings, donor events, data collection, etc. -- and I was even able to propose and complete an agency-wide inclusion project that I was very passionate about. I actually liked it so much that I accepted a post-graduation job at FamilyForward to work as a Programs Manager! ”
