What I liked
I liked that I was able to be at the Farmers' Market every Saturday. I helped manage the welcome table which mainly involved processing credit cards, debit cards, and EBT cards so that folks could purchase tokens to use at the farmers' market. The EBT sales were especially interesting to get to do because I now have experience using the FINI incentive grant that lets FFRI double the SNAP dollars that are used. The customer could buy gold $1 coins and receive the same amount they bought of those in silver $1 coins. A very helpful program that increase accessibility of local produce to low income SNAP customers. It was always very busy.
