I got a lot of great experience in IT and working with Databases within the company. I got to work with professionals in the IT and Data Science fields that taught me many great skills. Overall, it was a great experience and I learned a lot!
What I wish was different
I worked a lot with professionals inside my department, but I didn't spend much time outside of my department. I would have liked to see more about what other Computer Science related positions were like inside the company to better expand my horizons. Other than that, it was a really great experience and I really enjoyed it!
Advice
Always be respectful and show your gratitude to the company for allowing you to intern there. More often than not, the intern is gaining much more for being there than the company is. Also never be afraid to ask questions about things you are working on. Asking questions allows you to make sure you are doing what is being asked of you right and it also makes you appear more diligent and serious about your work.

What I liked
I loved the people I met and the exposure it gave me to a corporate work place. I also really appreciated the pay I received, as it helped me feel that my work was valuable to the company.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been able to apply and hear back sooner, as I didn't find out I had the internship until February. But even that was only a small setback.
Advice
Be open and willing to ask questions in order to learn more.

Human Resources Intern
May - August 2018 • Indianapolis, IN
What I liked
This was a great fit for my interests. The people here are ambitious and welcoming, but expect to be busy the entire internship!
What I wish was different
The hiring process takes a couple months, and while they are working on this currently, it takes time to hear back from them about an offer.
Advice
This internship is what you make of it, the team is very helpful and taught me a lot about the HR field. Take advantage of the opportunity you receive!
