What I liked

I like traveling around rendering services to people. Making sure my clients and customers are satisfied has become my happiness.

What I wish was different

The technical experience in dispatching packages to owners was risk bearing. At first, I was afraid but as I became acquainted with the technicalities of the work, It turned my favorite.

Advice

My advice to anyone who want or is currently doing delivery services is that, while discharging your job responsibility, one should be friendly and kinder with customers so they would want to continually patronize your company. You need to ask your clients how satisfied they are and what are those areas they feel you or your company should improve or keep doing.

What I liked

I loved my manager. I loved the close-knit internship experience (there were only 10 interns total). I loved the company culture.

What I wish was different

I wish we could have worked on more projects and applied more project management-type approaches. I had been looking forward to implementing Agile or Scrum, however we mostly did digital sales projects.

Advice

Don't be afraid to share your experiences and your stories at work.

Data Science Intern

What I liked

I can honestly say that my time spent interning with FedEx resulted in one of the best summers of my life. Not only did I gain practical skills, but I also had the opportunity to meet many fantastic people. The atmosphere at the Plano office was always welcoming which made me feel right at home. Additionally, I felt like I was able to contribute to the company by assisting and working on projects throughout the summer. I got an opportunity to work on Sentiment Analysis project using Python (NLTK), PySpark coding language, Azure Databricks as Cloud computing tool and Power BI as a Data Visualization tool. In this tenure, we had won two awards as appreciation, Tech-Mastery Award and Innovation Award. We had an opportunity to present our work to various Business Partner, Customers, Directors and Managers, which helped us gain guidance and acknowledgement. We had learnt about FedEx QDM methodology and incorporate SAFe Agile for the successful completion of our project.

What I wish was different

Advice

Overall, my internship at FedEx has been a success. I was able to gain practical skills, work in a fantastic environment, and make connections that will last a lifetime. I could not be more thankful.
