Hands on deal experience. Engaging and dynamic tasks throughout. Great deal of responsibility on multiple projects. Well-planned training and mentorship throughout the summer. Regular social events with the team.
What I wish was different
Would have liked to be in person.
Advice
Learn quickly and do not make mistakes twice. Ask important questions but exhaust other avenues first. Manage your time and preempt regular deliverables. Organize your email by project, task type, and add search folders for all coworkers to whom you report directly.

Investment Banking Summer Analyst
June - August 2019 • San Francisco, CA
What I liked
How much responsibility I was given as an intern. I was treated as a full-time investment banking analyst and was responsible for building and maintaining the valuation models, completing diligence requests from investors, and working directly with Managing Directors to prepare materials.
What I wish was different
It is a little hard to meet new people and have time to explore the city when you work long hours.
Advice
Like any investment banking position, you have to be prepared to work longer hours and be a go-getter. Proactively look for ways to help out the people above you and you will stand out.
