I enjoyed working with people who were around the same age as me. Working is more enjoyable when you get along with your coworkers. I also enjoyed creating a relationship with children and being their mentor.

What I liked
Housing was provided and leadership was inclusive and encouraging
What I wish was different
I wish my job had had more structure. I was never sure if I could leave for a weekend and what I was supposed to do specifically. This loose structure turned out to be helpful for hanging out with the kids in the end.
Advice
The wonderful leadership, kids, and the experience of moving to a new city alone made the whole experience worth it.
