Fives set the bar high for an internship. They do not cut corners on safety and treat everyone with kindness and respect. This was consistent across all of the departments I worked with. All of my questions were always answered thoroughly which allowed me to acquire a lot of diverse knowledge and skill sets.
Leadership was a good mix of working alongside the team while also being hands off to let us learn and work through problems. I never spent a day bored.
What I wish was different
Nothing. It was a great experience and I was excited to show up every day I was there. There was always something new when working in the R&D sector.
Advice
Ask a lot of questions. There were constant opportunities to brush up on old skills, learn new skills, and improve on existing skills.
