What I liked
The company's mission is incredible. I am hard pressed to think of something more impactful in the software engineering industry than using data to cure cancer. Additionally, my project was incredibly well scoped. I worked on a product from design to deployment, owning the project every step of the way. Last but not least, it was an incredible place to work with great culture, pay, and benefits. Work hours were flexible, and people prioritize a work-life balance. People are also very driven and serious about their work. As much as it can feel like a comfy tech company with catered lunches and beer in the office, you don't see people playing ping pong or goofing off. Everyone wants to come to work, but when they are there, they are there to work. It was awesome being in such a comfortable yet passionate and driven environment.
