Divemaster Internship

What I liked

I loved being in Florida and being able to scuba dive almost everyday

What I wish was different

Management for scuba department. The were very rigid and had very little flexibility when you came to them with an issue. The also lied about their time off on the application.

Advice

Make sure to understand the value of an experience. It’s not all about the money

Sea Exploring Mate

What I liked

Get to know about the ocean, work with people from all over the United States, learn how to run and operate a 83 foot 48 ton sailboat, learn about the history of the Florida Keys, and teach boys life skills in a unique environment

What I wish was different

I wish that the camp ran year-around so that I can continue my hours on a sailboat and eventually get my 50 Ton Master Captain's licence.

Advice

It is an amazing gig, that has no experience or knowledge requirements, in the paradise part of Florida. You not only get to meet a lot of really cool people but learn so much about Florida's wildlife, history, and culture, while working on communication skills, professionalism, and even networking.
