What I liked

I loved the executive team and the feel of the office. Everyone was very nice and willing to help, no matter which department they were in. I learned a lot from talking to employees in various positions.

What I wish was different

Could have possibly gotten on the phones earlier, spent a lot of time doing training and team building.

Advice

Always go out of your comfort zone. If you have a question, ask. If you’re interested in someone’s position, talk to them. They appreciate effort and showing you’re interested and eager to do more.

Systems Engineer

What I liked

There were many opportunities to learn. I got true insight on how business is handled in the booming and fast-growing field of Cyber Security. There, I was able to communicate with a vast network of mentors that had many great things to say about the field. Going into the internship, I was unsure of the different things I would encounter. But over the course of the 8 weeks that I was there, I learned so much about cyber security and computers, as well as customer facing and business meetings.

What I wish was different

I honestly had no complaints or wishes for this experience to have gone differently. There were a few times when there wasn't much for us interns to do, but we always found someone to mentor us on new things.

Advice

One piece of advice that I'd share about this experience is to go into it without any expectations. This will be the easiest way to learn about the company and the field of cyber security in general.
