What I liked

I love that I am able to care and interact with the patients on my unit. The nurses are always willing to help me throughout the day when I need it. This job has given me many opportunities for growth as I will be graduating from nursing school in May of 2020.

What I liked

The staff is very friendly and very team orientated. I learned a lot from working here and there are many scholarship and internship opportunities. I was able to watch open heart surgeries and gain lots of knowledge that has helped me with my nursing education.

What I wish was different

Nothing, this has been my favorite job and they are very flexible with hours.

Advice

I would say that people benefit greatly from having a job or internship in the field they are going into. I have learned and seen many things first hand that I wouldn’t have been able to do without this opportunity. I have also been awarded an internship through the hospital that gives me a 2 year contract when I graduate in May 2020.

What I liked

I liked how flexible the company was/is with my schedule because I was also taking summer classes and now I am still going to school full time while working.

What I wish was different

I did not have any real job experience before and could not get hired at first so I eventually went to the open interviews and got hired. I just wish the hiring process went smoother.

Advice

Its always fun to try new jobs and at first this summer I had two. They were both similar jobs but hired by different companies, I ended up quitting my other job at the end of summer and I am glad I did. My advice is don't be afraid to quit a job that you're not happy with and go out and try new things, you'll never know what you might like.
