What I liked
I really appreciate this fellowship because as a daughter of immigrants and a first generation professional who now holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice, I was working on issues that were both dear to my heart and that continue to shape who I am today. As a fellow at FWD.us I was allowed to make mistakes. Rather be punished and ridiculed in the office, I was encouraged to take these mistakes and learn from them. Because now was the time to mess up.
I was given projects that I did not necessarily have experience doing before but with the right guidance I was able to complete them at a satisfactory level.
This work environment has allowed we to grow and made me much more confident to pursue other job opportunities if the time came .
However, I was blessed to be offered a full-time position with FWD.us and I could not be happier!
