What I liked

The people in my lab, as well as the research I was doing. Everyone was great, and I learned a great amount while I was here, and I am able to continue my research this fall.

What I wish was different

Nothing, it was great!

Advice

Don't be afraid to branch out into a field you don't know much about, you might enjoy it! I knew very little about biology or genetics coming into this internship, but was able to learn a lot and apply my statistical analysis tools from being a math and physics major to my research. In the end, I made an impact with what I could bring to the table and had a great time doing it!

I liked how helpful and appreciative the doctors were. They let me watch different techniques they performed and assist with patients.

What I wish was different

Nothing I enjoy volunteering there.

Advice

To put your self out there and be very friendly with the employees there. Also, be hardworking and attentive and you will get more out of your experience.
