We bring people to the water and believe rowing and kayaking shared with all New Yorkers will build a community that delights in the beauty of our local waterways. Self-sustaining as a 501(c)(3), we will provide world class facilities, programs, and activities to our socioeconomically diverse community.
The Genesee Waterways Center is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 1996 in partnership with the City of Rochester, Monroe County, local paddlers and rowers.
GWC is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors who believe in developing a community-based center that provides unique recreational opportunities for the people of Monroe County to enjoy.
